Privacy Policy & Data Handling

This policy explains how Weeklane handles data on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android. Weeklane has two clearly separated kinds of data: your personal weekly tasks, which are stored locally on your device, and optional shared-project data, which is stored in Google Firebase so that invited members can collaborate. Weeklane shows no advertisements and does not sell your data.

1. Personal weekly tasks are stored locally

Your personal weekly tasks — titles, days, completion state, recurrence rules, reminder times, task colours, appearance and language preferences — are stored locally on your device and shared only with the Weeklane Home Screen widget. Weeklane does not upload your personal weekly tasks to any server.

2. Firebase authentication and project identity

To use projects, Weeklane creates a project identity through Firebase Authentication. This identity exists so that a project can be linked to you and to the members you invite. Depending on how you sign in, it can include an account identifier and, where you provide one, an email address or display name. You do not need an account to use the free weekly planner.

3. Shared-project data stored in Firebase/Firestore

Personal and shared project content is stored in Google Firebase/Firestore, acting as Weeklane's processor. This includes project names, project tasks, deadlines, reminder settings and the timestamps needed to keep members in sync. Only the project content you create and the identifiers needed to sync it are stored there. Your personal weekly tasks are never part of this sync.

4. Invitations, members and collaboration data

When you invite someone to a project, Weeklane stores the invitation, the member identities that accept it, task assignments, completion information and the change history needed for real-time collaboration. Members of a project can see the project content, who is assigned to a task and whether it is complete. Creating a project requires Weeklane Pro; invited members can take part in full with the free version.

5. Purchases: Apple, Google and RevenueCat

The weekly planner is free. New users receive a 14-day Weeklane Pro preview that does not automatically create a paid subscription; afterwards you can continue with the free weekly planner or choose Weeklane Pro monthly ($3.99) or yearly ($29.99), with localized store pricing where applicable. Existing lifetime purchasers keep their previously purchased access. Payments are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies. RevenueCat is used to validate purchases and manage entitlements, and receives a pseudonymous app user identifier together with the purchase receipt/entitlement status. Weeklane never receives or stores your payment-card details.

6. Read-only calendar access

Connecting a device calendar is optional, requires your explicit permission and is strictly read-only. Weeklane displays the day's events next to your tasks; calendar data stays on your device, is never written to and is never uploaded. You can revoke calendar permission at any time in your device settings.

7. Notifications and reminders

Task reminders and project deadline reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. Weeklane asks for notification permission only when you save your first reminder, and never uses notifications for advertising. Permission can be changed at any time in your device settings.

8. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored personal tasks remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. Shared project data is retained in Firebase for as long as the project exists. Deleting a project removes its content for all members. Backups held by your platform provider (Apple or Google) are controlled by that provider, not by Weeklane.

9. Requesting deletion of account and shared-project data

To delete your Weeklane project identity and the shared-project data linked to it, email contact@globany.com from the address associated with your account, or include your project identifier. Requests are actioned within 30 days. Note that content you contributed to a project owned by someone else may remain visible to that project's members until the owner deletes the project.

10. Security and access controls

Data in transit is protected with TLS, and shared-project data is protected by Firebase security rules so that only authenticated members of a project can read or write its content. Access to production systems is limited to the developer of the app. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please contact us if you believe your data may be at risk.

11. Advertising and tracking

Weeklane contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers and no social-network trackers. Weeklane does not sell your data and does not share it with third parties for advertising or profiling.

12. Children's privacy

Weeklane is a general productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. Weeklane does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through a shared project, contact us and it will be removed.

13. Changes to this policy

If Weeklane changes how data is handled, this policy and the App Store and Google Play privacy declarations will be updated before the change is released. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
